What you get

When screen printing is the right call

Where screen printing wins on price and durability, and when DTF, DTG or embroidery serves you better.

Best for volume + solid colour

Screen printing pushes ink through a stencil, one screen per colour. There's setup per design, but once the screens are made, each print is fast and cheap - so the per-unit price beats every other method on high-volume, solid-colour runs of 50+.

Built to last

A properly cured screen print is one of the most durable decorations available, holding vivid colour through years of washing. It's the classic choice for band merch, event tees, team apparel and anything produced in quantity.

When we'd suggest otherwise

For small runs, one-offs, or full-colour photographic art, screen-print setup isn't worth it - DTG or DTF is better and cheaper. For dark synthetics, DTF wins; for logos on polos and hats, embroidery wins. We'll recommend honestly based on your order.

FAQ

Screen printing questions we get

When should I choose screen printing over DTF or DTG?

Choose screen printing for high-volume, solid-colour runs - typically 50 units or more of the same design. The per-unit price is the lowest of any method at volume, and the print is extremely durable. For small runs, one-offs or full-colour photo art, DTG or DTF is better and cheaper.

What's the minimum for screen printing?

There's no hard minimum, but screen printing only makes financial sense at around 50+ units because of the per-design screen setup. Below that, we'll usually recommend DTF or DTG - and we'll tell you if that saves you money.

How many colours can you screen print?

Multiple colours are possible - each colour is a separate screen, so more colours means more setup. For designs with many colours or gradients, DTF or DTG is often more practical. Send your art and we'll advise.

How durable is screen printing?

A properly cured screen print is among the most durable decorations available, keeping vivid colour through years of washing. It's the standard for merch, event and team apparel produced in quantity.

Can you screen print on hoodies and other garments?

Yes - tees, hoodies, crewnecks, long sleeves, totes and more. Pricing varies by garment; ask for a quote with your garment and quantity.

Printing in volume?

Send your design and quantity. We'll confirm screen printing is the best-value method, and quote within the hour.
